A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by the lovely Michele from Oh! Organics asking if I’d like to review some of her products. I’ve always been intrested in the idea of organic skin care so I jumped at the chance. I must admit that until recently I’ve been very lazy with my skin care. And as a result my skin was awful, truly awful! But for the last six months I’ve had a proper routine and the quality of my skin has improved. It’s still not perfect, but I’m still learning about skin care. Something I’ve heard nothing but good things about is organic skin care. So when my package from Oh! Organics came, I was pretty excited to try it out. I was very kindly sent two samples from the Melissa range, the toner and the moisturiser, wrapped up in a pretty cute purple bag, along with some information eexplaining the products to me.

“This toner is made from flower waters extracted from essential oil distillation process.  This toner contains, Lemon balm,Geranium and Orange flower waters; witch hazel and glycerine. This lovely floral scented toner is non-drying and refreshes your skin. It is gentle and alcohol free and adds a fine layer of moisture. over you face and body to revitalise at any time.Pour it onto a cotton wool pad and sweep over the face and neck area after cleansing. Alternatively you can use it as a spritz over your face and body at any time to refresh and revitalise your skin”. – www.ohorganics.co.uk

I was pretty excited about using the toner, especially as it came in a spray bottle type thing. All other toners I’ve used in the past have been the usual bottle onto cotton wool type. I like the idea that you can use it on your face as a spritz to freshen up. Before I started using this I mentioned my skin was in a pretty naff state, since using this I’ve noticed an incredible difference to my skin. My spots started to clear up, and I even noticed my pores started to look smaller. Never in my history of skin care routines have I seen this happen quite so fast! All I did was use this in the morning after using my Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser to help wake my skin up, and then once again at night after taking my make up off with a cotton pad. I thought the smell of this was gorgeous, its all pretty and florally, it just smells natural. The toner costs £7.50 for a 50ml bottle, and you can buy it from the Melissa Range here

“This moisturiser is made using infusions and decoctions of Lemon Balm (melissa officinalis) plants; Cocoa butter, Mango butter, and lemon balm infused sweet almond oil. To this I have added Kiwi Seed oil, Borage oil, Thistle Seed oil and Jojoba oil. The essential oils in this cream are Melissa, Geranium, Jasmin, Lemongrass and Neroli. Not only do these oils help balance your skin they also smell divine. This moisturiser is for younger skins – late teens to 30. Younger skin can be dry, oily, normal or a combination of these which is often due to stress and hormonal changes. The ingredients used in this range work to balance your skin. This rich cream will sink into your skin without leaving a greasy film on it, making it easier to apply longer lasting makeup after using it!” – www.ohorganics.co.uk

When I first used the moisturiser, the first thing I noticed was the smell. It’s just this gorgeous natural flowery smell, but not too over powering and I found it didn’t stay on the skin too long when you applied it. I used my sample of the Melissa Moisturiser twice a day after using the toner, and I really noticed a difference in my skin. I normally have quite dry sensitive skin which can sometimes get oily, and when using this it helped to make my skin feel more hydrated without irritating my sensitive skin, which can normally be a problem for me and moisturisers! I also found when applying this in the morning it didn’t leave my skin feel too greasy so it was still fine to apply my make up. You can buy a 60ml jar for £24 from the Melissa Range here, which should last you 3-4 months! Also if your interested in trying a sample pot size (5ml) of the Melissa Moisturiser you can request a sample here. I’d defiantly recommend you try a sample of this!

Overall I was really impressed with my samples, they really helped out my skin! I really like the idea of organic skin care, and putting nothing but good things on your skin, so I might start looking more into this. As for Oh! Organics, would I purchase this myself? Yes! As soon as I get paid I think I’ll be treating myself to the full sized versions of these, along with trying out some of the other products. I really like the idea of the cupcake soaps and the lip balms. I think Oh! Organics is a great company with a wide range of affordable products, and I can’t wait to buy more of Michele’s products.
