Last year I wrote this post about my New Years Resolutions for 2013. Now we’re a year on I thought I’d look back at my resolutions to see how well I kept to them.
Graduate with a good degree.
Did I do it? Yes! In July I graduated with a 2:1 in Media and Communications. I spent my final year working crazy hard but still found I was in the between barrier of a 2:2 and a 2:1. I then spent my final days living in the library with my housemate Becky and managed to get some crazy good marks on my last pieces of work pulling my grade up to a decent 2:1. Graduation was a pretty amazing day which I blogged about here.
Get a real job.
Did I do it? No. After finishing uni in May I finally quit my Mcjob after 5 painful years and started interning in the real world. This year I’ve taken part in two internships, one work experience placement, and an online internship, but sadly I haven’t managed to get myself a ‘real job yet’. I’ve had a handful of interviews this year, and already have two interviews lined up for January, so fingers crossed for this year.
Carry on loosing weight.
Did I do it? Yes! This year me and my mum decided to join Weight Watchers, and so far I’ve lost 20lbs (although I’ve probably put on a little over Christmas). I’ve blogged about my weightloss journey here, and I plan on carrying on in 2014.
Blog, blog, blog.
Did I do it? Yes! This year I’ve blogged 133 times to date, my most blogged year. Although the first half of the year was fairly quiet while I finished my degree, the rest of the year has been pretty active, especially while I haven’t been working. I’ve even learnt to be more organised and schedule posts! Hopefully I’ll carry this on into 2014.
Save some money.
Did I do it? No. I’m still as poor as I was last year and haven’t managed to put aside any savings. Oops.
Well 3 out of 5 isn’t bad! Hopefully in 2014 I’ll be able to carry on with my resolutions and maybe make some new ones!
